The newly appointed performance coach of Harcourts SA brings a holistic approach to professional development to help agents unlock their full potential.

The network has appointed Sam Owens as its new dedicated performance coach, inheriting the role from Trent Godfrey, who left the position earlier this year.

Owens brings a decade of global experience gained through previous roles across the UK, Canada, Asia and Australia, which expanded his sales, leadership and coaching skills.

Despite his diverse professional background, Owens said his previous roles coaching salespeople made him realise that helping others develop was where his true passion lied.

“It wasn’t until I started training salespeople that I discovered what truly lit me up – helping others unlock their potential,” Owens said.

Owens said he approaches coaching by “asking the right questions” rather than just giving answers to ensure agents are empowered and become drivers of their own growth.

“It’s not just about reaching a target; it’s about making meaningful changes to your mindset to sustain those achievements over time,” he said.

Owens now also holds a real estate licence and advanced diploma in leadership and management, which he will use to help agents achieve clarity around their professional objectives and develop their latent potential.

In his previous roles, Owens has become known for his approachable and uplifting coaching style, which sees him combine authenticity and practical insights to help clients shift their limiting beliefs and continuously grow in all aspects of life.

Harcourts South Australia said this holistic coaching style is evident in Owen’s approach to professional and personal growth, which drives him to continuously develop through reading widely and enjoying an active lifestyle with his family.

The CEO of Harcourts SA, Heather Edwards, said Owen’s energy, passion and ability to engage with people from all walks of life will enable him to drive success in his new role.

“His lived experiences and remarkable results across industries make him an indispensable asset for our team,” Edwards said.

“Sam is deeply dedicated to equipping our professionals with the mindset and strategy required to thrive in an increasingly competitive market,” she added.
