After four decades within the company, the co-owner and director of Harcourts International, Paul Wright, will step aside as the brand welcomes a new leadership team.

The transition will see the ownership of Harcourts International pass into the hands of several tenured leaders within the network, who will jointly work to drive further growth for the brand on a global scale.

As part of the arrangement, several personnel at Harcourts International have extended their ownership stake in the company, including Mike Green (international managing director), Irene Green (director of professional development), and their sons Mitchell Green (head of people and culture) and Steven Green (technology operations manager).

Several high-ranking Australasian personnel will also assume ownership stakes in Harcourts International, including Adrian Knowles (CEO of Harcourts Australia), Bryan Thomson (New Zealand managing director), and Jo Clifford (New Zealand chief operating officer).

The brand also noted that partners Martin Cooper, Rob Carter, Mitch Cooper, and Andrew North from its largest franchise, Harcourts Cooper & Co Real Estate Ltd in Auckland, will also acquire ownership stakes in Harcourts International.

Through the newly assembled leadership team, Harcourts said that each member brings unique insights and experience that will help the brand to enhance operations in both its native New Zealand market and on a broader international scale.

Mike Green said the new leadership structure would enable the brand to further thrive in the global real estate landscape.

“This new structure underpins the company’s commitment to continuity while injecting new energy, ideas, and ambition to take Harcourts to the next level,” he said.

With Harcourts International set to enter its latest era of leadership, outgoing director Paul Wright shared that the values and ambition of the new leadership team left him confident that the brand was being left in good hands.

“It’s been a true privilege to help grow Harcourts into the respected, forward-thinking business it is today,” Wright said.

“As I step into my next chapter, I do so with deep pride in what we’ve achieved and real confidence in what’s still to come,” he concluded.
