The first-ever REB Innovation Awards 2025 has launched to celebrate the innovative minds transforming Australia’s real estate landscape.
Hosted in support of principal partner, LockedOn, the REB Innovation Awards celebrates real estate excellence – recognising leading agents, property managers, aggregators, networks, proptech platforms, and more.
There’s not long now until the submissions close so be sure to submit an entry or nominate a worthy colleague or business by Tuesday, 22 July 2025, to be in the running for the inaugural awards.
There are a total of 27 categories on offer, including six agency and network categories, as well as 11 individual and 10 technology and platform categories.

Innovator of the Year – Commercial Buyer’s Agency
The Commercial Buyer’s Agency award celebrates commercial specialists who are reshaping the buyer’s agency model.
This coveted category acknowledges agencies leading client service and deal outcomes by optimising strategy-first models and digital tools to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.
Entrants in this category will be evaluated on their ability to deliver advisory value beyond acquisition, using data, insight, or client engagement innovation.
Innovator of the Year – Major Network
This prestigious award recognises the network that has set the benchmark for excellence in navigating how large-scale businesses adapt to change.
The winning major networks will have effectively driven innovative operations, culture, and growth through either a national or multistate presence.
The judges will assess organisations on technology deployment, strategic leadership, and the internal systems empowering agents and offices to determine the winner.
Innovator of the Year – Residential Buyer’s Agency
The Residential Buyer’s Agency award acknowledges a trailblazing residential buyers agency that has transformed the client journey in the 2024 calendar year. The winning agency will have led the way in innovative research, discovery, negotiation, or client service.
The leading panel of judges will evaluate the agency’s technology, frameworks, or team culture in setting a new standard for the residential advisory experience.

How to lodge your submission
Entrants will be asked to answer four simple questions by recording themselves (either an audio recording or a video) and uploading it to the secure awards portal. This video can be recorded using a mobile phone – no need for green screens or top-quality cameras.
The audio recording or video will be considered as part of the submission, alongside metrics from past awards programs of Momentum Media’s Real Estate awards; and Real Estate surveys with Agile Market Intelligence.
All entrants will be asked to submit an audio recording or video answering four questions:

What steps have you taken to ensure operational excellence?

Provide an example of innovation in your business over the last 12 months. How has this helped?

How do you ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction?

What is the best example you can provide to demonstrate business growth in 2025?
All submissions are electronic and must be received through the secure awards platform by Tuesday, 22 July 2025.
