Harcourts Marketplace has announced the opening of its second office, Harcourts Marketplace Centenary, in a bid to extend the brand’s presence in Brisbane’s western suburbs.
The new office, based in Jindalee, will be headed by lead sales agent Michael Devlin, who joins founders Sarah Bailey and Chris Mihalopoulos.
The reunion marks the trio’s return after having worked together over 12 years ago under a different brand.
Bailey said that they had always wanted to expand into a second office as the business grew from five to 20 staff and 700 properties since its creation in 2017.
“When we were approached by Michael Devlin, we knew the time had come to create a second office,” Bailey said
Devlin said the move to Harcourts felt natural, given his previous working relationship with Bailey and Mihalopoulos.
“I have known Sarah and Chris for about 12 years, and I wanted to be part of the amazing business they have created,” Devlin said.
CEO of Harcourts Queensland, Andrew Friebe, said Harcourts Marketplace had developed strong ties to the local community.
“Their commitment to providing exceptional service and building genuine relationships has been the driving force behind their success,” Friebe said.
Harcourts said the expansion into the Centenary suburbs is not just a business move, but also a chance to contribute positively to the area.
Mihalopoulos said that the network believes in creating connections that extend beyond property sales, with the team engaging in events, charities, supporting local groups and schools.
He said the new office will enable the Harcourts Marketplace Centenary team to further community connections and have a greater impact in the surrounding suburbs.
“Community is at the heart of everything we do,” Mihalopoulos concluded.
