McGrath West Group has announced the opening of two new offices in Sydney’s north-west, expanding the network to seven locations to tap into the region’s growing, high-value property markets.
The new offices in Epping and Beecroft will join McGrath West Group’s five existing locations, bringing the network’s total to seven.
McGrath Epping will be led by experienced agents Betty Ockerlander and Teena Vaughan, while the Beecroft office will be spearheaded by Nick Bedford and Belinda Hill.
McGrath West Group principal Kon Stathopoulos said the staff in place in the offices played a significant role in the expansion decision.
“Adding Epping and Beecroft to the existing group is attractive to our business because of the quality of the people within those teams,” Stathopoulos said.
Stathopoulos said the team’s local experience would provide the network with a foothold in the region that has been seeing significant growth.
With property values in Epping and Beecroft sitting above Sydney’s median according to the latest Cotality data, Stathopoulos said expanding McGrath’s presence in the northwest corridor was the next logical move.
“We see a lot of migration of buyers and sellers across our existing footprint and into the Epping and Beecroft markets,” he said.
“It makes sense for us to be able to collaborate to better serve our clients.”
Stathopoulos said both suburbs are being favoured by a diverse range of buyers, who were drawn to the areas by access to local amenities and infrastructure.
“Within this corridor, we see a good mix of investment, off-the-plan and period homes for first home buyers, up-sizers and downsizers."
“We are seeing daily crossover of these categories across our existing markets and our new regions,” Stathopoulos concluded.
