Richardson & Wrench has announced the opening of a new office in Ryde, positioning the network for future growth in the area.

The new Ryde office, located within the Top Ryde Shopping Centre, will be led by veteran real estate professional, principal Donald Yum.

With over 25 years in property management, operations, and development, including leadership roles across multiple agencies, Yum said his experience will enable him to connect with vendors and buyers on a unique level.

Richardson & Wrench said the office has a genuine family business vibe, with Yum’s daughter, Esther, joining as head of marketing and the father-son duo Frank and Joseph Peronace coming on board as sales agents.

Yum said that aligning himself with Richardson & Wrench was an easy choice based on his previous encounters with the network.

“I’ve known the R&W Group and what they represent for more than 10 years, and I knew that when I was ready to make this move, it had to be with R&W,” he said.

He had been drawn to the R&W brand by its personal relationships, history and operational model.

“We really liked the personal touch and collegiate nature of the franchise group, as well as the direct access we have to everyone in the head office team.”

Yum added that the office would provide a point of difference from other networks in the area, with several team members bringing specialised finance experience.

“I am confident other agents in the area don’t have the value that we can offer vendors and landlords.”

R&W Group managing director Andrew Cocks said the new office was well-located to serve Ryde and its surrounding suburbs heading into the new year.

“We know that 2026 looks bright for Sydney real estate, and the Ryde City office is in a prime position to prosper.” Cocks concluded.
