Stone Real Estate has opened a new office in Cairns, marking its first move into Far North Queensland as it expands its national client base to the region.

Stone Real Estate’s new office, located in Smithfield in Cairns’ northern beaches, will be led by principals Michael Oxford and Paul Blunt, who bring more than 25 years of combined industry experience to the business.

Stone Cairns Beaches will bring the network’s client-first approach to local buyers and sellers in the area, specialising in residential house-and-land sales across the Cairns Northern Beaches.

The network said the new office would act as a base of operations, strengthening its Queensland presence and allowing the brand to connect local Cairns listings with active buyers nationwide.

Co-principal Paul Blunt, who brings a diverse professional background that includes more than 15 years in real estate, said he had always been drawn to sales roles as they allowed him to build relationships and form connections with clients.

“Buying and selling can be one of the most stressful experiences in a person’s life, and I love the challenge of reducing that stress while still delivering top-quality service,” Blunt said.

“Trinity Beach is home for our family, and we’re proud to build something special here under the Stone brand.”

Similarly, co-principal Michael Oxford, who brings more than a decade of experience, said the new office would leverage the network’s branding and support to deliver a rewarding experience for the region’s clients.

“The Cairns Northern Beaches are an incredible place to live, and I genuinely can’t see myself anywhere else,” Oxford said.

Stone head of franchise Luke Cameron said the opening of the new office signalled an exciting new chapter for the network.

“Michael and Paul are exactly the type of leaders we back.”

“They are leading Stone’s next step in the region and we are proud to support them as they bring the Stone experience to Cairns Beaches,” Cameron concluded.
