Buxton has announced the opening of two offices in regional Victoria, which will leverage local knowledge and collaboration to strengthen its services north of Melbourne.
The offices, located in the regional towns of Kilmore and Wallan, about 50 km north of Melbourne, will be led by Simon Best as the branches join the Buxton Real Estate Group.
Best was previously with Barry Plant before transitioning to Buxton, and will look to leverage his local knowledge, having grown up in the region.
He said that after considering several options, joining Buxton was the natural fit.
“We sat down with the whole Buxton head office team, and our leadership team walked away knowing it was right,” Best said.
“There was a good connection and a solid strategy.”
“We have a strategy for our business, and we believe Buxton is better placed to help us achieve our goals operationally and culturally.”
“A good brand gives you support, guidance and an overarching culture.”
“We have the backing of a great brand for training and support, and the ability to bounce ideas off other franchisees is invaluable.”
Buxton Real Estate Group board member Mark Earle said the brand's expansion into Kilmore and Wallan was a deliberate step to strengthen its presence in a high-growth area.
“Simon and his team embody the local expertise and community-first values that Buxton was founded on over 160 years ago,” Earle said.
The office will continue to utilise a collaborative approach, which Best said had created a sense of loyalty within the business, with half of the team having worked alongside him for more than a decade.
“You can’t be the smartest person in the room when you’re in business.”
“It's about identifying people’s strengths, delegating and having confidence to let them run with it.”
“If you give someone a role and the right supportive culture, they grow that role for the better,” Best concluded.
