A network has announced the addition of an experienced agent in Brisbane’s apartment market, as it looks to capitalise on the growing demand for units in the city.

Coronis has announced the appointment of veteran agent John Allen, who brings almost a decade of real estate experience to the network.

Allen, who transitioned from Place to Coronis, said he chose to join the network because they showed interest in his personal and professional development during the interview process.

He decided to join the brand because it offered him the opportunity to focus on his personal and professional development.

“They genuinely wanted to understand me as a person and how they can help me to achieve what I aspire to,” Allen said.

Coronis CEO Karuna Mazzocchi said Allen’s shared values with the network and knowledge of the local market would make him a valuable addition.

“He understands the Newstead and Inner City market incredibly well and shares our belief that success in real estate comes from doing the right thing by people,” Mazzocchi said.

“Importantly, he is someone who is driven to continue growing his career, and we are proud to provide a network that provides real opportunity and support to empower our team.”

Having spent most of his career operating in Brisbane’s apartment sector, Allen said it had undergone a significant shift in recent years, with prices jumping by almost 20 per cent in the last 12 months, according to realestate.com.au data.

“In 2018, there was a point where I had 18 apartment listings and couldn’t get anyone through the door for an open home,” he said.

“Now it is the complete opposite. Apartments are moving in under seven days; it is remarkably different.”
