REMAX has announced the opening of a new rural Queensland office, REMAX Heartland, as the network expands its inland presence beyond Brisbane’s property market.
REMAX Heartland, located in Dalby in Queensland’s Western Downs region, will be led by Daniel Ferris, who joined the network from Elders in late 2025.
With over five years across property management and sales, Ferris said the decision to launch a REMAX office in Dalby was driven by his connection to the area, a feeling shared by fellow local sales agent Donna Cook.
“I want REMAX Heartland to be known as the real estate agency that has the community at its heart, and Donna shares in that vision for the office,” Ferris said.
Ferris said the transition to ownership felt like the natural next step, even early in his real estate career.
“I love meeting people and building connections, and in the early days of my career, I just wanted to absorb as much of the industry as I could.”
Cook said she developed a connection with Ferris during a previous role and admired his rapport with buyers and sellers.
“I felt that combining this strong communication and his energy, with my attention to detail and local knowledge, we could make a strong team,” Cook said.
REMAX Australia franchise manager Daniel Roberts said the expansion into the Western Downs region was a strong step for the brand’s growth.
“Daniel has represented the REMAX brand strongly since joining the network last year, and we’re looking forward to supporting his vision for REMAX Heartland Real Estate and the opportunity for growth ahead,” Roberts said.
REMAX managing director Joel Davoren said the brand’s presence would have a significant impact on Dalby’s real estate market.
“We look forward to the opportunities ahead and to the brand being represented in Queensland’s Western Downs,” Davoren concluded.
