REMAX has announced a merger between two prominent Cairns agencies, combining under the network’s banner to serve the region’s hot property market.

The network has announced a merger between Powerhouse Property and REMAX Real Estate Services, with the teams combining to form REMAX Powerhouse.

The new real estate office will operate from Manunda, west of the Cairns CBD.

The merger brings several decades of local knowledge and industry experience together under the network’s banner and will see Powerhouse Property’s owners, Kate Fern, Meaghan Confait, and Michele Annison, join forces with REMAX’s Tony Williamson.

Fern said the alignment with REMAX would position the team to leverage brand recognition to expand its presence in the Cairns region.

“As a boutique business, being able to continue to offer the individual service and support to our clients that we’ve been recognised for over the years, while being supported in our future growth, is essential,” Fern said.

“We’re thrilled to join forces with Tony and his team, continuing to represent the REMAX brand here in Cairns within our newly formed REMAX Powerhouse.”

Confait said the opportunity to utilise the national network’s training programs and nationwide connections was crucial to the office’s continued growth.

“The opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the industry’s best is really about supporting our team’s growth as much as our own as business owners,” Confait said.

REMAX managing director Joel Davoren said the merger brings two well-respected teams together under the network’s banner.

“The Powerhouse team bring a strong focus on client outcomes and success, rather than just property transactions, and I think this will be an exciting refresh option for people involved in Cairns property transactions.”

“This is a dynamic leadership team that brings a wealth of experience, insight and energy, with a shared vision of creating an exceptional real estate business in Far North Queensland,” Davoren concluded.
