Weeks after opening its office doors for the first time, Place Beerwah has announced the addition of a husband-and-wife real estate duo with significant experience in the region’s property market.

Veteran husband-and-wife duo Andrew and Wendy Dobbie joined the Place Beerwah office, following their departure from Century 21 Lifestyle.

The pair bring more than three decades of real estate experience and knowledge of the Glasshouse Mountains to the office, which opened its doors in early March.

Andrew Dobbie’s background includes farming and nursery work before transitioning into real estate, while Wendy joined him in the industry shortly afterwards, from a career in teaching.

Andrew was named the Sunshine Coast’s number one agent in 2017, and Wendy said the pair balanced each other out, helping them connect with clients.

“Andrew walks through a place and immediately knows how to fix things – he comes up with solutions, and that comes from years on the farm,” Wendy said.

“I walk in and see what it could become and have a vision of how the home should feel.”

Wendy said that the decision to join the Place network was driven by their alignment with the brand’s values.

“Andy leads with honesty and integrity, and that’s really important to us,” Dobbie said.

“The brand is the lead in marketing, service and support, so the move made sense for us.”

With six sales agents joining the office within weeks of opening, Place Beerwah director Andy Phythian said the immediate growth reflected a shift in what experienced agents were looking for.

“Good agents are choosing environments where they’re supported to do the right thing by their clients,” Phythian said.

“That’s what Place has, and it’s what we are building here. It’s why we are seeing people make the move.”

Phythian said the addition of the pair strengthened the depth of experience within the office and had developed a reputation within the community.

“That kind of trust matters,” Phythian concluded.
