The 28th annual Australasian Real Estate Conference (AREC) has announced additions to its speaker lineup, including a world tennis champion as well as the return of the Property Management Hall.
The two-day learning event, to be held on the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre on Sunday, 24 May, and Monday, 25 May, will focus on equipping agents with the foundations to drive growth through a series of presentations and panels.
AREC26 has announced that six-time Grand Slam winner and former world No. 1 Boris Becker will join the program as a virtual keynote speaker, sharing his insights on resilience, discipline, and performing under pressure.
Additionally, Becker will delve into how to sustain success in high-stakes environments, sharing lessons that directly translate into real estate professionals’ work.
The event will also feature the return of the Property Management Hall, a dedicated experience for professionals who operate in the space.
Total Real Estate Training head and organiser of AREC, Izzy Savva, said the event’s lineup was tailored to match the moment the industry was experiencing.
“The market has shifted and so have our expectations on agents and pro[perty managers,” Savva said.
“This year’s program from global voices through to our industry leaders and the return of the PM Hall is about giving attendees real tools, real insight and a real edge.”
Day one of the PM Hall will focus on performance and innovation and will be hosted and curated by Wingman Group director of growth, Nick Georges, with presentations by REGROWTH founder Kylie Walsh and keynote speaker Phill Nosworthy.
The first day will also feature a panel on technology with Bayleys Auckland’s Will Alexander and MRI Software’s Dr Sarah Bell, as well as another on the investor/PM relationship with Momentum Markets’ Alex Whitlock and H & B Real Estate’s Tim Harris.
The second day will delve into leadership in the property management sector, with presentations by Harris Real Estate’s Phil Harris, Lifestyle Group’s David Gray, and industry thought leader John Foong.
The day will also feature a panel on team building led by McGrath St George group principal Matthew King and Coronis Group mergers and acquisitions director Jodi Ford.
The PM Hall agenda has been designed so that property managers can still attend the keynote presentations on the Arena stage without missing out on the tailored, role-specific content.
Over the two-day event, the Arena stage will host presentations from US-based agents Josh Altman, Josh Flagg, and Tim Smith, as well as panels with some of Australia’s top real estate professionals.
