Noel Jones will leverage the extensive experience of its newest chairman to drive the real estate group going forward in Melbourne’s changing property market.
The Melbourne-based real estate group has announced the appointment of experienced industry leader Ray Ellis as chairman of the board.
With more than two decades of industry experience, including in local and international real estate, Ellis will take up a leadership position at one of Melbourne’s oldest agencies.
Across his previous roles with the Real Estate Institute of Australia and First National, he has developed a skill set that includes team development, strategic planning, franchise growth and industry advocacy.
The brand said Ellis’ appointment to a leadership position marked the beginning of a new strategic chapter for the business.
Ellis said his appointment with the group came at a time when the sector was undergoing a significant shift, driven by technology adoption, shifting consumer expectations and competition.
“The real estate industry is currently facing a period of profound change and a turbulent market,” Ellis said.
“I firmly believe that agents and real estate groups can flourish during these periods with the right vision, culture and a steely focus on delivering strong results for clients.”
He said he would work to strengthen the brand’s reputation, which had been built over 50 years in the Melbourne market.
“I’m excited to work alongside the directors and leadership team to help continue that growth journey while ensuring the business remains progressive, innovative and deeply connected to its people and clients,” Ellis concluded.
