Raine & Horne has announced the acquisition of a prime piece of real estate in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, in a bid to boost the network’s presence and visibility.
The real estate network has purchased the top two floors of 65 York Street, the first Art Deco tower in Australia, which it said would deliver “unparalleled benefits for clients” across the brand’s nationwide offices.
The space will be repurposed in line with Raine & Horne’s Align and Accelerate strategy to include multiple training rooms, conference and quiet rooms, and recording studios for podcasts and videos.
Raine & Horne executive chairman Angus Raine said the acquisition of the office space was a significant step forward for the network.
“The grandeur of the building reflects our scale and ambition. The breadth and quality of facilities and amenities reflect our commitment to our clients and our network,” Raine said.
“And the location – just 300 metres from where Raine & Horne first established offices in the Sydney CBD 143 years ago – is a reminder of the exceptional legacy of Raine & Horne as a modern-day super brand.”
He said that the planned refurbishments would provide a strong foundation for the network to better support all of its offices.
“Raine & Horne will have a corporate office like no other – with greater capacity to attract, engage, train, and retain the best people, the technological resources to share Raine & Horne insights and expertise across all mediums, and the facilities that demonstrate how much we value our people and our clients.”
Additionally, the building will bear the network’s branding and signage, reinforcing its visibility in the city’s business district.
