Geelong Victoria reb

The proptech buyer’s agency has strengthened its presence in Geelong’s property market, merging with a buyer’s advocacy spearheaded by a lifelong resident.

FOUNDIT has announced a merger with Geelong-based buyer’s agency Henning Property as the brand continues to expand its services nationwide.

The merger brings Henning Property founder John O’Brien’s local market knowledge to the proptech platform, strengthening its presence in one of Victoria’s fastest-growing regions.

A lifelong Geelong local, O’Brien spent the past five years building his own business before joining the proptech buyer’s agency, drawn by its research and development systems.

Geelong has experienced a surge in interest in its property market in recent years, driven by major infrastructure investment and transportation links to Melbourne and via Avalon Airport.

With the city’s transformation into a hotspot living destination that caters to a range of property buyers, O’Brien said it was important to leverage the tools provided by the proptech business.

“A growing city needs buyers who can move with confidence,” O’Brien said

“Joining FOUNDIT means local clients can get the on-the-ground knowledge they’ve always had from Henning Property, now backed by national research, data and technology.”

FOUNDIT co-founder Angus Ferguson said the addition of O’Brien to the brand would significantly strengthen the brand's presence in the region.

“From our very first conversation, we were blown away by the passion and depth of knowledge he brings for Geelong and the greater region,” Ferguson said.

“John doesn’t just know the market – he lives it, and that’s exactly the kind of local expertise we’re building FOUNDIT around.”
