Lifestyle Group has expanded its regional NSW footprint with the launch of an office in Byron Bay, stretching its reach from Forster to the Queensland border.
The network announced the acquisition of Byron Bay Real Estate Agency, which will trade under the name of Lifestyle Group Byron Bay.
According to the network, the acquisition included a rent roll of around 150, bringing the group’s total to around 10,000, as well as a short-term holiday accommodation book.
Lifestyle Group founder and CEO David Gray said the move marked a strategic milestone for the network, enhancing its presence across regional NSW.
“It seamlessly secures the northern anchor of our coastal corridor, which now extends from Forster up to Brunswick Heads,” Gray said.
“By integrating a robust rent roll alongside an established holiday portfolio, we are not just expanding our sales reach – we are deeply embedding our ecosystem into the region’s unique long-term residency and lifestyle tourism markets.”
Lifestyle Group chief transformation officer Leanne Brien said the process of acquiring the local agency required structural alignment and operational focus.
“This acquisition allows us to deploy our existing framework to elevate the property management experience for landlords, while simultaneously scaling our specialised holiday accommodation arms,” Brien said.
Gray said that while the acquisition expanded Lifestyle’s geographic reach, it was about more than just “adding dots on a map”.
“It’s about creating opportunity, backing local teams, and investing in the communities we believe in.”
“Byron Bay is a globally recognised destination, but at its heart, it is a tight-knit regional community. We want to ensure it continues to thrive - economically, socially and personally – because when our communities prosper, we all do.”
