Harcourts has announced the expansion of its Tasmanian footprint, solidifying its presence on the state’s north-west coast.
The new office, located in Devonport, will be led by local principals Brad Reeves and Wendy Squibb.
Harcourts said the expansion will strengthen the pair’s franchise position in Tasmania’s north-west, adding to their existing office, Harcourts Ulverstone & Penguin.
According to Reeves, the expansion was a natural progression for the business and would deepen its connection to the local community.
“The expansion isn’t about changing who we are – it is about growing our reach,” Reeves said.
“Our clients will still be dealing with the same staff they know and trust, just with the ability for us to service a larger area across the coast.”
Squibb said she would leverage her local connections and market understanding to serve the region’s client base.
“Devonport feels very much like coming home,” Squibb said.
“It is a community I know incredibly well, and I am proud to continue serving it under the Harcourts Ulverstone & Penguin banner.
Harcourts Tasmania co-CEOs Kate Littlejohn and Tony Morrison said the expansion of the franchise solidified the network’s presence in the region.
“The north-west Coast is an incredibly important market, and having a team of this calibre now servicing a wider area is fantastic news for the region,” Morrison said.
Littlejohn said the growth of the pair’s franchise was a testament to their leadership and values.
“Their commitment to their people, their clients, and their community is exactly what Harcourts stands for,” Littlejohn said.
