A north Queensland-based REMAX agency has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of a new general manager who will bring “big city ideas” delivered in a “country girl way” to the office.
The Mackay-based REMAX Select has announced the appointment of Samantha Self as the business’s newest general manager.
Self brings more than two decades of experience in real estate and management to the network, having moved from an eight-year stint as the retail manager of the largest shopping centre in north Queensland.
REMAX Select principal Nikita Kinnane said the addition of Self to the agency was a significant step forward.
“Sam will play an important role in shaping the future of REMAX Select, bringing exceptional experience in property, management, and leadership to help drive growth and innovation, and this will flow into enhancing every aspect of our business,” Kinnane said.

With Mackay’s housing market experiencing a boom, climbing by more than 20 per cent in the previous 12 months, Self said she would look to support her new team to continue to drive performance.
Self said that the shared values between her and Kinnane had played a significant role in her decision to join the agency.
She said she would look to empower the office through training and development programs to ensure they had all of the necessary tools to succeed.
