RT Edgar Stonnington has strengthened its property management division by appointing a department head with more than 15 years of experience in the space.

The agency announced that Rob Gillies would join as the new head of property management to support its operations in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

Gillies, who began his career as a property manager in 2011, has gained experience in Melbourne’s property market with boutique agencies as well as his own company.

He said that RT Edgar’s reputation in the Melbourne market and the way its values aligned with his own made it the natural fit for the next stage of his career.

“RT Edgar is one of Victoria’s most respected real estate brands, and I’m excited to join a business that shares my commitment to exceptional service,” Gillies said.

“I look forward to supporting the team, building on its strong foundations and continuing to deliver the highest standard of property management.”

RT Edgar Stonnington director Mark Wridgway said that Gillies would be an important asset to the business going forward.

“Rob brings extensive leadership experience, strong industry knowledge and a genuine commitment to excellence,” Wridgway said.

“I have every confidence he will be a valuable leader for our property management team and make a significant contribution to the continued success of the business.”

The network said that in his new role, Gillies would lead the Stonnington team with an emphasis on service excellence and providing high-quality advice and support to owners, investors and renters.

RT Edgar general manager Justine Kantanis said the appointment reflected the business’s continued investment in experienced leadership.

“Rob’s strategic mindset and depth of experience will further strengthen our property management offering and support the continued growth of the business,” Kantanis said.
