First National has expanded its presence in the regional Victorian market, launching a new office to serve the South Gippsland and Bass Coast areas.
The new office, First National Prom Country, located in Meeniyan, will be led by duo Brent Harriage and Janine Pepyat.
The pair bring almost four decades in the industry to the expansion office, which will provide residential and commercial sales, property management and industrial services throughout the area.
Harriage said that launching an office under the banner of First National felt like the natural next step in his career.
“I’ve worked with several business models over the years, but First National stood out because it allows us to remain independent while benefitting from a respected national brand and a collaborative network,” Harriage said.
“It’s recognised, it’s trusted, and importantly, it's not a franchise. That independence was very important to us as we built our own business.”
Pepyat said the network’s cooperative culture and support made the decision to align with the brand a straightforward one.
“Having worked across South Gippsland and Bass Coast, it felt like the right time to establish our own business with a network where members work together rather than compete,” Pepyat said.
“We wanted the freedom to build a business that reflects our values while having access to outstanding technology, marketing and communications support.”
She said that their complementary experience would enhance their ability to serve clients in the region.
“By combining our experience across residential, commercial, and property management, we’re able to offer clients practical advice and personalised service backed by a national network,” she said.
First National Real Estate CEO David Edwards said that Harriage and Pepyat were typical of the independent operators the network seeks to attract through its business model.
“Brent and Janine have built their reputations through genuine local and afar relationships, and a commitment to putting clients first,” Edwards said.
“They wanted the flexibility to run their own business while accessing the technology, training, and collective strength of Australia’s largest network of independent real estate agencies.”
