LJ Hooker has announced the addition of a prominent Sydney business in a bid to accelerate growth in the city’s northern markets.

The offices, located in Forestville and Narrabeen, will operate as LJ Hooker Alliance Group, under the leadership of directors Michael Ferguson, Lachelle Ferguson, and Kathleen Fairweather.

After more than two decades with Ray White, the agency has rebranded to join LJ Hooker, as it looks to position itself for further growth in the region.

Fairweather said the rebrand to LJ Hooker held special significance for her, having purchased her first home through the network with her late husband Brian Fairweather, who worked within the business and played a significant role in bringing the two branches together in 2012

Since he passed away in late 2025, Fairweather said she and the office have continued to honour his legacy.

“We have remained committed to the same principles that guided Brian’s approach – genuine relationships, exceptional service, and being part of the community,” Fairweather said.

Ferguson said that LJ Hooker’s commitment to collaboration was a major factor in the decision to align with the network.

“We wanted a partner that would provide strong marketing, technology, training and business support while empowering our team to strive for growth and exceptional service,” Ferguson said.

“The LJ Hooker team struck a balance between being highly professional and genuinely approachable.”

He said the branches would prioritise rent roll growth, market leadership and team development in the first 12 months with the network, to lay the foundation for long-running success.

“We want to successfully execute our rebranding and amplify our presence across the Northern Beaches and the Forestville area,” he said.

“We will also be empowering some of our experienced agents to step into lead roles, supported by our associate team, to further enhance our service capacity.”

LJ Hooker general manager Stephan Gervois said bringing an established agency into the network reflected the strength of the direction the brand was heading.

“Today’s agency principals want more than a recognisable name. They want a network that can help them grow efficiency, build market share, develop their people and create sustainable growth,” Gervois said.

“Businesses of this calibre make our entire network stronger.”

Gervois said the focus on internal development aligned with the network’s commitment to creating career pathways for its staff.

“Attracting talented people is important but giving them the support and opportunity to build lasting careers is what creates truly successful businesses.”
