Raine & Horne has announced that a rapidly growing independent agency has joined the network, with additional support for AML/CTF compliance a driving factor.

Founded by local agent Brad Renshaw six years ago, Renshaw Real Estate will join the national network, operating as Raine & Horne Morriset.

The network said the Morriset office would have access to greater technology and compliance support.

Renshaw said the support provided by the network, particularly around the introduction of the anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) requirements, was a major factor in his decision to align with Raine & Horne.

“It is impossible for a small business to constantly develop the leading-edge systems and decide what technology to employ and what technology to ignore. That heavy lifting for us is done by Raine & Horne,” Renshaw said.

“This is something we’ll be able to take advantage of, and we can incorporate the new requirements without them slowing us down.”

Raine & Horne chief executive officer Chris Nicholl said Renshaw had built a highly respected business in Morisset, putting community and client service at the heart of his service.

“His values align perfectly with ours, and with the backing of our technology, compliance systems and national network, we’re confident Raine & Horne Morriset has an exciting future ahead,” Nicholl said.

According to Renshaw, the benefits of the transition would be felt immediately, with the region positioned for long-term growth, bolstered by proximity to both Sydney and Newcastle, and the proposed fast rail project.

“Even without it, the fundamentals are incredibly strong. Buyers can still access more affordable property than in the bigger cities while enjoying an outstanding lifestyle, and this makes the area very attractive for years to come.”

Renshaw said the national network would provide the office with greater scope to create opportunities for current and future staff.

“I want to have something that I can be proud of and a team that really enjoys working here. I want people to work in a place where they enjoy coming to work, where their contribution is important and valued, and where they can develop and grow and extend themselves.”
