Stone Real Estate has grown its footprint in the Southern Highlands market, landing a veteran agent and her team as a boost for the office.

Stone has continued to strengthen its presence in the Southern Highlands, adding an experienced professional under the network’s banner.

Sophie Desprez has moved from her former position with LJ Hooker alongside her team to join Stone’s Southern Highlands office.

Following eight years as a principal, Desprez said her decision to join Stone was about strengthening the network’s presence in the local community.

She said that despite switching workplaces, her focus would remain on maintaining existing relationships and leveraging local expertise.

“The people, the passion, and the local knowledge remain exactly the same. What we’ve upgraded is the toolkit behind us,” Desprez said.

“Stone gives us the ability to combine our understanding of the Southern Highlands with technology, marketing, and a network that extends well beyond the region.”

She said that Stone’s connection to both the local region and a national database would bring a greater volume of interested buyers into the property market.

Stone founder and CEO Peter Mumford said the growth of the team, led by George and Alexander Kolovos, was a sign of the strength of opportunity present in the region.

“From the beginning, our vision for Stone Southern Highlands has been to build something special with great local people,” Mumford said.

“To have people of this calibre choosing to join Stone is a real endorsement of what we are building in the Southern Highlands.”

The network said the balance of an established leadership team and increased depth of experience had solidified the office’s position in the property market.
