Network charity partnership to bolster fight against homelessness

An industry partnership will bring the property sector together to support Australians experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity, with a focus on raising funds, awareness and practical support.

LJ Hooker Foundation, the charity arm of the real estate network, has announced a partnership with the A Home for All Foundation.

The partnership will run through to the end of 2028, with advocacy and fundraising efforts spanning campaigns, volunteer initiatives, and corporate and franchisee activities.

 
 

The A Home for All Foundation was founded in 2025, backed by REA Group and supported by several agencies, to raise awareness and funds for Australians experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

In its first year, the foundation raised more than $1 million through its A Night Without Home campaign, which is set to return in October 2026.

The previous campaign funds were split among four charities that support people experiencing homelessness and domestic violence.

The network’s charitable arm, which was founded in 2016, raises funds through its network of more than 400 offices across Australia and New Zealand.

REA Group chief people and sustainability officer and A Home for All Foundation advisory committee member Elisa Nerone said the partnership would allow

“Last year we saw what was possible when the property industry comes together, and we’re excited to build on that momentum in 2026,” Nerone said.

“This partnership will help both foundations mobilise more people to take action and ultimately direct more support to people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.”

LJ Hooker Foundation director and Group CFO Simon Heathcote said the network had thrown its full support behind the charitable cause.

“We’re looking forward to engaging our offices and franchisees through a collective goal, using the scale of our network to help grow awareness and participation, and raise much-needed funds.”
