McGrath has strengthened its position in Campsie in Sydney’s south-west, opening a new office following the acquisition of a local agency.
McGrath Estate Agents has announced the launch of a new office in Campsie, strengthening the network’s presence in Sydney’s south-west market.
The new office, formerly operating as Montana Realty, will form part of the group of agencies known as McGrath Inner Southwest, led by principal George Kapos.
Alongside the Bankstown office, McGrath Campsie will service the area from Chipping Norton, Berala, Campsie, and Punchbowl, with Campsie and Blemore considered key suburbs.
Kapos said the acquisition of Montana Realty would bolster the group’s ability to serve clients across the strengthening property market in south-west Sydney.
“We are delighted that principal Henry Dao will remain with our new business as he joins the McGrath team, and continues to bring his extensive local knowledge and relationships in the community,” Kapos said.
McGrath head of franchise Chris Mourd said the expansion had left the network well placed to service the growing interest in the region.
“Campsie is a key gateway to the southwest corridor of Sydney, underpinned by excellent transport links and significant infrastructure investment,” Mourd said.
“Opening in Campsie is a natural extension of our successful Bankstown office, allowing us to better service clients across key suburbs in and around Campsie with a dedicated local team.”
With a median house price of $1.8 million and $674,500 for units, Kapos said Campsie’s property market had proven to be attractive for both owner-occupiers and investors.
He said the interest was spread across apartments and freestanding homes, with renovated properties and outdoor spaces proving particularly popular for buyers.
“We’re seeing a diverse buyer mix in Campsie, including young families, first home buyers, downsizers, and investors,” he said.
“Many buyers are local, but there’s also strong interest from other parts of Sydney, as buyers are drawn to Campsie’s convenient location, accessibility to public transport, and relative affordability compared with inner-city suburbs.”
