The buyer’s agency has launched a new office in the Victorian capital in a bid to strengthen its presence ahead of the city’s resurgence.
PMC Property Buyers has expanded into Melbourne, launching its first office in the Victorian capital.
The new office, located in Yarraville, will be led by Brad Straughair and supported by Tom Breen.
The expansion has solidified the brand’s presence across East Coast property markets, with offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, the Sunshine Coast, and the Gold Coast.
Straughair joined the business after more than a decade working alongside PMC founders James Freudigmann and Will Hosking in a referral capacity.
“I’ve known Will and James for nearly 20 years and have always respected and admired PMC from a distance,” Straughair told REB.
“As time went on, PMC grew, and Will and James stayed true to themselves, their business and their values around clients and the Australian property market, so when the most recent approach was made it was a no-brainer for me.”
He said that joining the team was a natural fit for the next stage of his career.
In addition to his personal circumstances, Straughair said the Melbourne expansion made sense for the network, enhancing its ability to service property buyers across the east coast.
Hosking said the expansion strengthened the business’s presence in key markets, allowing the team to better support clients across multiple states.
According to Hosking, the Melbourne office was the “final piece in the puzzle” for the network's east coast coverage.
“Being the second largest city in the country, we already have a number of clients and referral partners based in Melbourne, so to now be able to formally offer our services to this market is exciting,” Hosking told REB.
“We believe there will be green shoots in the Melbourne market in the coming years, and this expansion will provide our investor clients with another option to gain exposure to a market we believe will be at the bottom of its growth cycle.”
