A recent marketing program by LJ Hooker has simultaneously increased traffic and leads while reducing advertising costs for the network.
Launched in February 2025, the campaign brought together network offices across Australia and New Zealand under a modern identity that maintained familiar elements consistent with the brand’s history.
The network said the campaign was built around the four qualities that matter most to property owners: brand trust, consistent service, clear communications and professionalism.
According to LJ Hooker, the campaign saw 51 per cent more new-customer leads and 58 per cent more sales appraisal leads.
Additionally, it resulted in reduced advertising spending for the brand by 20 per cent.
LJ Hooker general manager Stephan Gervois said the central theme was that real estate was not just about homes, but people.
He said the brand continued to strive for innovation, despite more than a century in the market.
“It reflects the way we have brought research, creative thinking, technology and the strength of our network to reach more prospective vendors and landlords and create tangible opportunities for our offices,” Gervois said.
The people-first message ran throughout the campaign through social media channels and advertising, while office websites and follow-up communications turned enquiries into opportunities.
With appraisal leads increasing by 85 per cent year-on-year, Gervois said the lead-generation program was designed to create more opportunities for local offices.
“What I’m most proud of is that this work is translating into real, measurable opportunities for our local offices and agents.”
“When you have a strong national brand and marketing that performs, it helps our people compete and grow in their own markets.”
With its strong results, the network’s campaign recently won an award in the Acquisition Marketing category at the 2026 Australian Marketing Institute Marketing Excellence Awards.
“Our brand has never been stronger, and this award is recognition of the outcomes our new platform has delivered.”
“It belongs to our marketing team, our offices and our people across Australia and New Zealand, who embraced the strategy and brought it to life in their local markets.”
