Harcourts has strengthened its position in the eastern states, with a head office appointment in Victoria and a high-performing sales agent in Brisbane’s north boosting their respective markets.

The network’s Victorian arm has appointed Courtney Berry as its new business operations manager, while an agency in Brisbane’s north has welcomed experienced sales agent Cara Schwartz to the team.

Berry brings more than 10 years of experience in sales, property management, training and operations to the role, filling in for current business operations manager Bella Costikidis while on maternity leave.

She said she had been fortunate to fill many roles in her career, giving her a wide understanding of the industry.

“That’s given me a really broad view of how the whole business works, and I’m excited to bring that experience to Harcourts Victoria,” she said.

In her new role, Berry said she would support offices and teams across Victoria by drawing on her previous experience and implementing training systems to improve day-to-day processes.

Harcourts Victoria CEO Adam Fiteni said the breadth of Berry’s experience made her an important addition to the state’s head office team.

“Courtney brings a really valuable combination of industry experience, operational knowledge and a genuine understanding of what teams need to succeed,” Fiteni said.

“That experience will be incredibly valuable as we continue to support our offices and people across Victoria.”

Meanwhile, an agency in Brisbane’s north has strengthened its real estate sales department by appointing Schwartz.

Joining the Harcourts Pinnacle office, Schwartz has returned to the network where she began her career as a “fresh, wide-eyed recruit” back in 2019.

She went on to build a career as an independent real estate agent, receiving industry accolades, before rejoining the network after building a strong relationship with managing director Johnny Linn.

“From the moment I became an independent agent, Johnny and I were aligned in building a team that genuinely boosts and supports one another,” Schwartz said.

“After years of catch-ups and getting an insight into how Harcourt’s Pinnacle operates, and understanding the knowledge, experience, culture and shared goals, the decision to change brands was easy.”

Harcourts Pinnacle chief growth officer Jonathan King said appointing Schwartz was another step in the agency's continued growth.

In addition to continued growth, he said the agency would also focus on ongoing development for its team members.

“We’re looking forward to supporting Cara’s own professional growth and helping her build a long and successful career with Harcourts Pinnacle,” King said.
