A new app aims to help real estate agents take full advantage of their unlimited SMS plans.

Database providers charge anywhere from nine to 22 cents per SMS, according to AgentSMS founder Trevor Bragg, potentially costing real estate agents hundreds of dollars per month for SMS usage.

AgentSMS uses preset text messages to launch bulk campaigns from a smartphone – a huge benefit and cost saving for anyone with unlimited texts featured in their mobile phone plan.

Mr Bragg said real estate agents requested that the app be developed, in order to maximise the value of their mobile phone plans.

“Today’s real estate agents are financially savvy… they know when they are being overcharged,” Mr Bragg said.
