A prominent real estate group has launched a live online chat feature, saying it's a first in their target property market of Western Australia.

Professionals Real Estate's ‘live property chat’ allows consumers throughout the state to ask questions online on a range of real estate matters and receive an immediate response.

Professionals WA & NT CEO Shane Kempton said the service, a first for the WA real estate market, was launched in response to the increasing popularity of on-demand online customer support.

“Online chat services have been successfully launched by companies in other sectors, such as finance and telecommunications, and their growing popularity underlines that consumers are using the internet to obtain quality information which is easily accessible before making a major decision,” said Mr Kempton.

“Professionals are embracing this new technology as we understand that anyone interested in property wants quick access to quality information online.

“Our online live property chat service will be manned by highly experienced real estate professionals who can answer a wide range of questions relating to buying or selling a property, managing a property or general real estate matters,” he added.

Mr Kempton said the service is free of charge.

“This new website is about empowering consumers in the WA property market with quality information that they can digitally access very quickly and therefore make informed decisions relating to property."
