After 15 years in the Canterbury and St George areas, agent George Karafotias was looking for a change for his business.
He’s taken the plunge to a new network, rebranding his Southern Sydney office to Stone Earlwood.
Previously aligned with LJ Hooker, Mr Karafotias said: “We have been looking to modernise our processes and office practices and seeing what Stone offered was like taking a breath of fresh air.”
The principal’s team of eight are all making the switch, with Mr Karafotias explaining that the group “want to show we’re not only at the cutting edge of the real estate industry but with an agency that leads in tech and property marketing”.
“I feel Stone will be at the front of this area in coming years and we really want to be part of that,” he said.
He also pointed to culture as a massive contributing factor for the team’s switch: “Stone meets our criteria, as our office is quite young as far as agents working within our team.
“We’re doing extremely well in this part of Sydney, very keen to take customer service to the next level, and Stone has a unique culture for business support and goal setting which suits us perfectly,” Mr Karafotias added.
Reflecting on the addition of the Earlwood team into the fold at Stone, the group’s head of franchise, Luke Cameron, has praised Mr Karafotias’ “admirable success” as making him the ideal person to take the brand into such a densely populated part of Sydney.
“Stone is moving deeper into key markets such as Canterbury and St George and we couldn’t be happier to have George on board,” Mr Cameron concluded.
