A suburban property team has received some of the industry’s top accolades in the last month for their property management work.
Raine & Horne Newtown was the winner of the REB Property Management Team of the Year at the 2018 awards held last month.
The Newtown team’s business executive, Adam Freitas, was also the recipient of the REB 2018 Business Development Manager of the Year – Property Management award.
Mr Freitas was immensely humbled by the award and said that it was a heavily contested field.
“I am sure all the finalists could have won this award. It’s just hard work, dedication and persistence — you know, the basics,” the BDM said.
Mr Freitas added that there were many challenges of being a property manager in Newtown, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I think the challenge is the number of agents in the area. It’s such a transient area, there’s so many different people. I love it though. I love the area,” the BDM said.
The REB Awards was not the only chance for the office to shine, as it was also a REINSW Awards for Excellence finalist in the Residential Property Management Team category for the second year in a row.
Mr Freitas was also a winner at the Raine & Horne National Awards, where he received the award for Outstanding Business Development Manager (Property Management).
Co-principal Gerald Hill said that Mr Freitas was a worthy recipient of the award and his attention to detail set him apart from the competition.
“Mr Freitas is a very detail-orientated person, who has an outstanding work ethic. He’s relentless in his pursuit to get the best for his clients at every opportunity,” Mr Hill said.
The Newtown office also won big on the sales front, with principals Michael Harris and Duncan Gordon ranking highly in the Top Salesperson (Principal) – Number of Sales category, and the office scoring in the top 10 offices for dollar value.
“We have great people working at Raine & Horne Newtown who are highly professional in everything they do. We work hard to stay at the top of our game and we’re very proud of all that our team continue to achieve,” Mr Hill said.
