A property management company stepped up for its clients who recently “lost everything” after waking up to their “worst nightmare”.

Code Property Group was contacted by its tenants — a local couple in their 20s and their two young daughters — after their house caught fire on 30 June.

The young family, based in Currimundi, reported that while they managed to get to safety amid the blaze, they were not able to recover much from the devastation.

After being informed about the incident, the firm’s team quickly jumped into action to rehouse the young family.

Knowing that the family had no insurance to financially back them up, the Code staff also reached out to every single tenant and landlord in their database to ask those who are interested and capable of donating toward helping the fire-affected family get back on their feet.

The firm reported that donations began “pouring in” after reaching out to its network. To date, the property management group reported that a total of $3,245 has been raised to help the family in need.

The young family expressed their appreciation for the firm “acting swiftly” during a time of crisis. “We really don’t have words for how grateful we are for you and everyone at Code, this means so much and we can’t thank you enough!” the family said.

“Your help in making this process as easy and quick as possible has meant the world to us, and we are in complete shock because we can’t even comprehend how incredible this is. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts, your kindness means so much to us!”

Code Property Group has stated that it will continue to provide support for the family as they “reassemble their livelihood”.

It also reaffirmed its commitment to providing support to tenants that are residing within its rental properties across the Sunshine Coast in “any way that they possibly can through whatever life sends their way”.
