Harcourts Victoria says it has found an ideal fit for its team.

Property management specialist Rachel Atkin has been appointed as the group’s property operations manager.

Atkin joins the group with a background in advertising media and property management. She has worked across a number of franchise offices and in the process consistently achieved new business growth targets and high levels of customer service.

Fabian Sanelli, chief executive officer of Harcourts Victoria, specifically noted Atkin’s “incredible” knowledge base around property management and her proven track record in “growing rent rolls, leading and managing teams, and running world-class training”.

“We’re so excited to have someone of Rachel’s calibre and quality join the Victoria corporate team,” said Sanelli.

Karmen Costigan, head of property management at Harcourts Australia, additionally detailed Atkin’s remarkable enthusiasm and values that completely aligned with the companys values.

“We are thrilled to have a professional of a high calibre like Rachel join our national team at Harcourts,” stated Costigan.

“She is passionate about delivering the finest experience in property management and embodies our values completely.”

Furthermore, the group has lauded the work done by Atkin as a property management business coach, consultant and trainer with skills in client nurture. The network stated that her negotiation and conflict resolution primed her as the optimal candidate to imbue Harcourts with her adept industry and interpersonal skills.

Harcourts stated that such an overlap in ethos would enable Atkin to build high culture teams that will garner the best results for Harcourts’ Victorian clients.

For Atkin herself, the decision to join the network appears to have been an easy one, stating she was “drawn to Harcourts by its reputation for excellence in property management and its commitment to fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment”.

She added that the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and make a positive impact in the industry was what ultimately attracted her to join the company.

“Furthermore, I was impressed by how closely Harcourts’ values, vision and commitment to its people aligned with my own professional ethos, making it an ideal fit for me,” she concluded.

It’s been a busy period for the Harcourts brand. Just two weeks ago Harcourts International named a new chief financial officer to the group in Kelly Podlich.

Podlich had spent 14 years with the business in various capacities before her most recent elevation to the CFO role.

Closer to home, the network named a new South Australian CEO in December 2023. Rachel Eckey was named to the top role, having led the brand’s operations, marketing, growth and strategy across the state for the nine years prior.
