REB’s Property Management Excellence (PMX) Conference and Awards return in 2026, bringing together the people, ideas, and technology shaping the next phase of the profession.

Returning for its second year, the PMX Conference will tackle the challenges standing between agencies and sustainable growth, from building stronger teams and winning new managements to retaining customers and making technology work harder.

Taking place in Sydney on Thursday, 5 November, the conference will deliver a program built around one question: what does it take to build a business that keeps growing?

The day will begin with the foundations of high performance: people. The opening session will explore how leadership, accountability, and culture can help agencies attract stronger talent, develop leaders and build teams where high performance becomes the standard.

A fireside panel will then turn to the bigger decisions behind agency growth, unpacking the role of culture, customer experience and leadership in taking a business from steady performance to sustained growth.

Winning new rent roll will also take centre stage, with sessions exploring how agencies can build a consistent pipeline through digital marketing, referrals and customer advocacy, alongside the opportunities and risks that come with scaling through strategic acquisitions.

But growth means little if customers do not stay.

PMX will examine how understanding customer expectations, building trust, and delivering proactive service can strengthen retention, generate referrals and build more resilient rent rolls.

Technology will also come under the spotlight, with the agenda exploring how automation and emerging tools can improve efficiency and help agencies scale, while keeping the human connection that customers still value.

The day will close by bringing these pieces together, looking at the leadership, operating discipline, customer experience, and growth strategies that will shape the next generation of high-performing businesses.

Speakers include Grant McKay, director at NU Management; Jason Back, founder and director at Broker Essentials; Nick Georges, head of growth at Wingman Group; and Simone Shirvington, founder, director and licensee in charge at Elever Realty.

They will be joined by Tim Harris, director at H&B Real Estate; Cathie Crampton, head of property management Australia and New Zealand at LJ Hooker; and Silvio Giorgio, data and AI executive.

With a full day of practical sessions covering people, growth, customer experience and technology, PMX Conference is designed to give property management professionals strategies they can take back to their businesses. Secure your ticket to the PMX Conference here.

Awards to close the night

The conference will then give way to the REB PMX Awards in the evening, recognising the professionals and businesses delivering exceptional outcomes across the sector.

Now in their third year, the awards celebrate Australia’s leading property managers, teams, offices, leaders and innovators across customer service, business growth, team performance and operational excellence.

The REB PMX Awards will be held on Thursday, 5 November 2026 at The Star Sydney. Book your spot here.
