Agencies operating on the Managed platform can now generate thousands of dollars in referral fees through a new integration and partnership with specialist mortgage and finance business Finni.
The partnership creates a new revenue opportunity across property management and sales, helping agencies support owners seeking to refinance, investors planning their next purchase, and buyers navigating a challenging lending market.
Finni has written more than $1 billion in loans and established a dedicated team and support system for Managed agencies and their customers. The multi-award-winning brokerage specialises in investment finance and complex lending, including borrowers with substantial property portfolios, self-employed clients and business owners.
Participating agencies receive 20 per cent of Finni’s upfront commission on referred loans that settle. On a $730,000 loan, that represents a payment of approximately $950.*
The process is straightforward. Agencies introduce their clients to Finni, which manages their needs assessment, application, approval and settlement. Finni reports an application-to-settlement conversion rate of more than 80 per cent.
For Managed, the partnership is part of a broader commitment to help agencies grow by delivering a deeper and more valuable service to their clients. The new partnership will be officially launched at the Property Management Excellence Conference (PMX) in Sydney on 5 November.
Managed CEO and co-founder Phil Tarrant said access to specialist finance support was increasingly important as property managers took a more active role in helping owners manage their assets.
“Property management is changing rapidly. Next-generation property managers increasingly see themselves as asset managers, supporting their clients with more of the decisions that affect their investment,” Tarrant said.
“Finance is central to that. Whether an owner wants to refinance, an investor is looking to buy again, or a tenant is preparing to purchase their first home, access to the right lending expertise can make a considerable difference.
“This partnership gives our agencies a straightforward way to help those clients while building a valuable new revenue stream.”
Tarrant said the quality and consistency of the service were fundamental to the arrangement.
“Many agencies already have a relationship with a broker. What matters is whether that relationship consistently delivers the service and support their clients need,” he said.
“When an agency makes an introduction, it is putting its own reputation behind that recommendation. Finni understands the importance of service standards and has committed a dedicated team and process to support the agencies on our platform.”
Finni principal Eva Loisance said the brokerage had built its business around specialist lending expertise, access to a broad range of lenders and systems that supported clients through every stage of the process.
“Complex financial circumstances can make borrowing more challenging, but understanding the client’s position and knowing how to approach the lending market can open up options they may not have considered,” Loisance said.
“We have built a team and a system that allow us to deliver that expertise consistently, from the first conversation through to settlement. We look forward to extending that service to Managed agencies and their customers.”
Agencies can choose how actively they participate. Some may refer clients when a finance need arises in an everyday conversation. Others may take a more proactive approach, introducing the service across their landlord, tenant and buyer databases.
For property management teams, those conversations may centre on refinancing, borrowing costs or an owner’s plans to expand their portfolio. For sales teams, the service provides specialist support for buyers who need help securing suitable finance.
The partnership is available to agencies across the Managed platform and their customers.
*Based on a lender upfront commission of 0.65 per cent, a $730,000 settled loan would generate a referral payment of $949 for the agency.
