The knock-on effects of the COVID-19 pandemic has not derailed Harcourts Mandurah, with the team saying they have exceeded expectations this month, clocking up over 4,000 registered sales since its inception a decade ago.

The team said it’s the first office in the Peel region to achieve the feat, having worked tirelessly to ensure they remain competitive during this time.

Commenting on the success, Harcourts Mandurah director Ben Hatch said the figure far outweighed that of their nearest competitor, adding that “it did not include conjunctional sales which could see the number closer to 5,000”.

“It’s a massive milestone for us,” Mr Hatch admitted. “Out of 116 agencies that have sold in the Mandurah Greater Region, we currently have 26.17 per cent market share of sold properties.

“It’s been a lot of hard work, but we’ve got three really active directors, great systems and a great culture in place which has certainly helped us establish our brand and our business here.”

Mr Hatch said despite the challenges associated with COVID-19, his office and staff had managed to navigate through this unprecedented time with confidence and success.

“We geared up for the worst, but our main focus was on retaining all of our staff, which I’m extremely proud to say that we did,” he explained.

“Through the first six weeks, we realised our buyer demand had increased. With mining gearing up and COVID levels remaining low, I think we will see a lot of people moving to WA.

“If you’re considering selling in the next three years or so, it’s probably time you move that forward, because we’re not sure how long this great market will last.”

Commenting further, Harcourts WA state CEO Paul Blakeley said the statistics around Harcourts Mandurah for the preceding 12 months “had been nothing short of spectacular”.

“Being the first real estate office in the Mandurah region to exceed 4,000 sales is an outstanding achievement,” Mr Blakeley said.

“The team at Harcourts Mandurah continue to set the benchmark year-on-year and these results are a testament to their dedication to servicing the needs of the community.

“We are extremely proud of their results and their people-first approach to business — this is the cornerstone of their success.”
