A boutique auction event on Sydney’s Northern Beaches saw an impressive turnout, resulting in “record” sales figures in the coastal region.

All properties that went under the hammer during the Gala Auction Night held on 24 May in the beachside region were successfully sold by local participating Belle Property offices, achieving a perfect 15 out of 15 sales.

The night was broadcast on the Belle Live auctions website through “auctions live” and all the Belle offices that took part reported the results “exceeded vendors’ expectations”.

Nick Boyd, head of network growth and auctioneer on the night, lauded the event as a resounding “great success”, with approximately $50 million worth of property sold — a figure he noted was a “record for the Northern Beaches”.

“We had more than 400 people attend this exciting event with over 200 registered buyers and competitive auctions for all properties that went under the hammer.

“The level of enquiry was unbelievable and some of the prices we achieved on the night [were] comparable to the peak of the market,” he commented.

Citing the “incredible” momentum and success the event generated for the Northern Beaches region, Mr Boyd said Belle Property was planning another Gala Auction Night on the Northern Beaches on 15 June, hinting it may not be the last.

“We have 11 auctions booked for the 15 June and we will continue to hold large-scale gala nights like these in the Northern Beaches due to the enthusiasm that we are seeing from buyers and sellers alike,” he shared.

Auction events of similar nature may not be limited to Northern Beaches, according to Belle Property chief executive Peter Hanscomb, who stated the brand is considering rolling out the Auction Gala Nights into other areas.

“Auction Gala Nights are a terrific way to showcase a diverse range of properties in the marketplace and we saw very competitive auctions in the Northern Beaches.

“We think that there are other areas across the country that could see events like this in the future as holding multiple auctions on the one evening drives great outcomes for buyers and sellers,” he stated.

In addition to allowing agents the opportunity to focus on weekends, Mr Hanscomb highlighted the event “offers a strong level of customer service and satisfaction”.
