The acquisition will expand Buxton Port Phillip’s footprint to include Albert Park, with offices already in Port Melbourne, St Kilda and Elwood.

The announcement will see Buxton acquire Cayzer’s Port Melbourne and Albert Park offices.

Under the phased transition, the network confirmed that Buxton Port Melbourne will relocate into Cayzer’s premises to become Buxton/Cayzer Port Melbourne.

Cayzer’s Albert Park office will be rebranded to Buxton/Cayzer Albert Park.

Buxton hopes that the move will strengthen its presence in the region, strengthening its multi-office network with a particular focus on the middle to upper property market.

Cayzer’s brand reputation will complement Buxton’s growth strategy, Buxton Port Phillip managing directors Matthew Young and Arthur Apostoleros said.

“Our goal in acquiring Cayzer was to expand our market share and elevate our offering across Port Phillip. Cayzer’s strong client base and respected brand identity make them a natural fit for our business,” the pair said.

“By solidifying our presence in Albert Park, we’re ensuring our clients continue to receive exceptional service from agents who know the area inside and out.”

The acquisition will create a combined team of over 50 professionals across four offices, working across sales and property management.

Both networks had complementary approaches, Geoff Cayzer, founder of Cayzer Real Estate, said.

“In successfully merging my business with Buxton, a company I’ve long admired, represents the coming together of the best of both worlds, he outlined.

“Buxton’s progressive approach, combined with the history and values that built Cayzer, ensures my legacy continues with integrity and care. It’s a full-circle moment for me, having started my career at Buxton, I couldn’t imagine a better home for the business and our clients going forward.”

They confirmed that Cayzer’s support for local institutions, such as schools and sports clubs, will continue under the new partnership.

“It’s about combining two trusted brands to elevate the client experience and to create stronger outcomes through shared knowledge, resources, and vision,” Apostoleros and Young outlined.
