Raine & Horne has bolstered its Queensland ranks, appointing industry veteran Ben Sowman as network performance manager as it eyes further expansion across the state.
The appointment comes as the group prepares to open a new office in Brisbane’s north, signalling renewed confidence in the Sunshine State market.
Sowman joins after working for RE/MAX Results Queensland, where he served as head of sales and oversaw more than 50 agents across multiple offices.
In that role, he was responsible for lifting productivity, driving growth, and implementing new systems across the network.
He also previously held a senior role with REA Group as sales manager for Queensland.
The hire is part of Raine & Horne’s broader expansion push under its Align & Accelerate five-year strategy, according to executive chairman Angus Raine.
“Ben brings a powerful combination of real-world agency experience, strategic thinking and hands-on performance sales coaching, which makes him a strong addition to the team,” Raine said.
“In one of his former roles, Ben was recognised as a High Performance Leader of the Year.
“Having recently led a significant network of agents on the ground in Queensland, he understands exactly what it takes to lift performance and drive sustainable office growth.
“Ben’s appointment ensures that as the Queensland network grows, it does so with clarity, consistency, and the right level of support at every stage. Strengthening the team with experienced operators such as Ben is a key part of delivering on this vision.”
Sowman began his career at Bankwest before moving into media, where he served as group sales director – real estate for Queensland and NSW at News Corp.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with the network to support agents and principals, enhance performance, and help unlock new opportunities across the state,” Sowman said.
