A PRD office on the Gold Coast will leverage the experience of one of Ashmore's top agents, adding more than two decades of experience to the team.
PRD’s Ashmore office has strengthened its position in the Gold Coast’s lifestyle buyer market, announcing the appointment of local agent Darrell Johnson.
Having moved to Professionals from national network LJ Hooker, Johnson brings more than 25 years of real estate industry experience to the Ashmore office, including a decade as the suburb's top agent according to RateMyAgent.
Johnson said his prior experience as a competitor of the PRD Ashmore office had given him an understanding of how the team operated.
“I’ve competed against Orla (PRD Ashmore principal Orla Jensen) for years, so I have seen firsthand how he runs his business,” Johnson said.
“When I made the decision to move, I wanted to align with a brand and leadership team that matched my standards, and PRD stood out immediately.”
Jensen said the addition of Johnson to the office was a strategic decision to leverage his experience in the local market.
“He brings market share, relationships and credibility in areas we’re continuing to expand into,” Jensen said.
PRD managing director Todd Hadley said the appointment of Johnson reflected the brand's growing momentum as it sought to enhance its position in the diverse Gold Coast marketplace.
“Darrell is a proven performer in the Ashmore market, and his decision to join PRD reflects the strength of what our network offers top agents.”
“Moves like this don’t happen by chance; they signal where good agents see opportunity and long-term growth,” Hadley concluded.
In addition to his more than two decades in the Ashmore property market, Johnson has been a prominent figure in the local community, supporting organisations such as the Police-Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC) and Men’s Shed.
