The Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) has now revealed that digital signatures will now be available on all documents through the VicForms platform.

It’s thanks to the institute’s partnership with Hutly, which sees One Touch™ digital signing built into official compliance-guaranteed REIV documents, as well as any attachments sent with them for all members of the VicForms — all at no additional cost to subscribers.

According to the industry body, this means agencies can send REIV’s contract of sale with key documents, such as the Section 32/ Vendor statement, attached and ready for signing “within a few clicks”.

It also explained that for agents and property professionals who want to send their own documents, VicForms subscribers can pay a per-envelope fee to send documents using the One Touch™ interface.

REIV membership services manager Matthew Griffin has acknowledged how “COVID-19 and the resulting lockdowns have increased the need for no-contact digital signatures on documents other than just contracts and authorities”.

The new digital signature capability from Hutly comes after extensive engagement with VicForms since launching in March.

Hamish Wyatt, the head of product and marketing at Hutly, highlighted that “users have given us some amazing insights to feed back into the VicForms product”.

“That engagement allows us to deliver major improvements — like those in this release — at least every quarter,” he said.

In addition to the new signing features, the VicForms platform is now capable of catering to agencies of all sizes and volumes.
