A real estate brand has welcomed their first ever technology manager to bring the group up to date with “cutting-edge real estate technology”.

Buxton Real Estate Group has appointed Jessica Oakley, a former senior business consultant at MRI Software, as their inaugural business technology manager in a brand-new role.

“Technology is an essential part of our daily lives, and no one can live without it,” said Buxton CEO Marcus Williams.

“It helps save time and effort, improves work efficiency, obtains valuable information and frees our agents to spend more time working closely with our clients, helping to achieve outcomes they wouldn’t have been able to find anywhere else.”

Buxton stated that the creation of the new role “underscores the company’s dedication to evolving with the times and staying ahead of industry trends”.

According to Ms Oakley, Buxton’s forward-thinking mindset was a key drawcard when choosing to join the company.

“There are huge developments on the horizon for both Buxton and my personal and professional growth, and I am eager to hit the ground running,” Ms Oakley said.

In her new role, Ms Oakley will evaluate Buxton’s existing technological infrastructure, and streamline and refine this current tech stack in order to ensure optimal functionality for its end users.

She will also leverage emerging technologies in order to keep the network up to date with the newest industry innovations.

Ms Oakley explained: “The core goal is to enhance operational efficiency and provide a seamless experience for our team and valued stakeholders, including clients.”

She brings with her over 20 years of experience in the real estate sector, including roles in sales, rental and administration. Most recently, Ms Oakley worked as a senior consultant for Box + Dice, a client relationship management system by MRI Software.

As well as the opportunities for digital innovation that Buxton offers, Ms Oakley stated that she was drawn by the company’s team culture.

“Having met most of the leadership team, I was quickly taken by their genuine camaraderie and positive energy,” Ms Oakley said. “They are simply just fun to be around.”

Looking forward, Buxton stated that it hopes Ms Oakley’s appointment will consolidate the brand’s reputation as “a leader in the ever-evolving real estate technology landscape” that is committed to “evolving with the times and staying ahead of industry trends”.
