The post-Easter period will see a fresh wind for Savills with the appointment of a new South Australian managing director.

The commercial firm has appointed Matt Holland as their newest state managing director.

Mr Holland has spent the past two decades at the helm of the Woolworths Group for South Australia and the Northern Territory, following on from a seven-year stint with major commercial real estate firm CBRE.

The incoming managing director shared that he is excited to continue deepening his roots in the South Australian business community and working with Savills’ established South Australian clientele.

“I look forward to working with the team in Adelaide, my peers and colleagues as we build upon the strength of the Savills South Australian business,” Mr Holland said.

“I’m excited to join Savills, with its reputation for being a highly respected global real estate brand working across such diverse services in so many sectors of the property industry in Australia and New Zealand.

According to Savills, Mr Holland has extensive experience in the property industry, and strong knowledge of project delivery, property management, valuation, sales and leasing, and property development, among other areas.

Mr Holland will begin in his new role at the end of April, and chief executive officer Paul Craig of Savills Australia and New Zealand shared enthusiasm about the upcoming commencement.

“We welcome Matt to the Savills Australia and New Zealand team as a new chapter of our South Australian business starts under his guidance,” said Mr Craig.

The CEO added: “Matt’s deep experience in the property industry, the strengths of his relationships and his team-leading expertise will be instrumental in the growth of our South Australian business and the talent in our Adelaide office.”

Mr Holland is not the only newcomer to be welcomed to Savills this year. In January, the firm’s Sydney outpost brought Tyler Talbot on board as director of capital transactions.
