A new appointment will lead Knight Frank’s operations in South Australia, seeking to leverage her experience across all commercial property sectors to drive growth in the state.

Natasha Barron has been appointed as Knight Frank’s new managing director for South Australia, bringing more than 23 years of experience in commercial property nationwide.

Barron transitioned from Growthpoint Properties Australia, where she worked for the past six and a half years, most recently as senior asset manager.

Knight Frank chief executive officer, James Patterson, said she brought sound experience, having worked in property management and capital transactions teams across all commercial property sectors, and in several management roles.

“We are extremely confident she will lead our South Australian business to ongoing success, and continue to put our clients and people first,” he said.

Returning to her hometown, Barron said there was a personal component to the move, while she had also been drawn to the strength of the network and quality of its teams.

“I look forward to working with our people and clients to build on the strong foundations already in place and drive continued growth and success,” she said.

Barron will be replacing outgoing managing director, Bobbette Scott, who joined Knight Frank in 2014 and will transition into a part-time position as partner, asset management services (AMS) in South Australia.

Scott, who worked in leadership roles such as head of AMS, state managing director South Australia and being on Knight Frank’s national executive committee, decided to step down due to family reasons.

Patterson said that, in her new role, Scott will continue to support clients she was familiar with, while utilising her experience and relationships.

“Over the past 12 years, Bobbette has made a very significant contribution to Knight Frank, demonstrating amazing leadership, which has seen our South Australian business thrive, both professionally and culturally,” Patterson said.
