Knight Frank has announced a series of key appointments to its national and NSW operations, betting on two respected office leasing professionals and promoting an internal leader.

Knight Frank has announced the appointments of Hamish Stuart, John Brasier, and Jenine Cranston to key roles across its national and NSW businesses.

Stuart will be taking on the dual roles of national head of office leasing and partner, managing director, NSW, beginning on 1 September.

Meanwhile, Brasier has been appointed as partner, head of office leasing NSW, commencing with the company on 3 August, and will be working closely with Stuart in Knight Frank’s Sydney office.

According to the firm, Stuart brought 25 years of experience in commercial real estate across Australia and the United Arab Emirates, with a background in office leasing and asset management.

He transitioned to the firm from Dexus, where he was most recently head of office leasing, and was previously AMP Capital’s head of leasing for office and industrial.

Brasier, who has 13 years of experience in commercial property, also moved from Dexus, where he was General Manager, NSW Leasing – Office, for nearly five years.

Knight Frank chief executive officer James Patterson said Stuart had experience across agency, client and developer environments, and insights into market dynamics.

“He is well known and highly regarded across the market for his experience, relationship-building and leadership,” Patterson said.

Likewise, he said Brasier had a background in Sydney’s office leasing market and was well-respected within the industry.

Additionally, Cranston, who has been with the firm for more than four years, will move into a Partner role within the NSW office leasing team from her position as head of environmental, social, and governance (ESG).

According to Knight Frank, Cranston had more than 30 years’ leasing experience, including senior client-facing leadership roles at CBRE and Colliers.

Patterson said that Cranston combined leasing leadership experience with skills in advising clients on the impact of ESG on occupier demand.

“She understands how to position assets to respond to these shifts and remain competitive in a changing market.”

Stuart said he was drawn in by Knight Frank’s reputation for its market knowledge, trusted advice, and insights, and he wanted to help grow its operations and leasing capacity.

“My goal is to build on these strengths, amplify the value we deliver to clients, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the business,” Stuart said.

Similarly, Brasier said he was prepared to lead the firm’s NSW office leasing team and to deliver quality service and a fresh perspective to clients.

“With new development supply drying up, I am looking forward to delivering superior outcomes for our clients as the market sentiment continues to turn back to their favour,” Brasier said.

Patterson said appointments will strengthen Knight Frank’s leadership across NSW and national office leasing platforms.

“These appointments will position us strongly for the next phase of growth both in NSW and nationally, as well as bolstering our leasing capability nationally ahead of further opportunity in the market.”
