Coronis Property Management Director, Jodi Ford, said they had learned a lot of lessons throughout the pandemic and were more than happy for their team to decide the hours they work or where they work from.
“Our team have been with us on average for more than five years, so we understand them, what makes them happy and how they best operate,” Ms Ford said.
“For example a lot of our team now work remotely which suits their young families or other commitments. It’s important they feel empowered and supported to live the life they want, especially when we have all the technology and systems available to make that a reality.
“We’ve had several PMs make a sea-change recently, including Michaela Hully who manages one of our Brisbane portfolios, from her new home on the Gold Coast. We knew she wanted to make the move so with the right technology, field support and role we were able to make this happen for her, without losing her to another agency.
Ms Hully, who’s worked for Coronis for the past 11 years said being able to run a portfolio in Brisbane and live on the Gold Coast was just amazing.
“I really feel like I am living my best life which is thanks to my leaders and Coronis,” she said. “They knew I wanted to make the move to the coast and they gave me the flexibility and support to make it happen. When I want to work at home that’s fine, and when I want to spend the day in the office I go in and I have that team contact and culture which I also love. It’s the best of both worlds.
“In my role, I still focus on relationship building with my clients, maintenance and arrears but I have a Property Management Associate in Brisbane who manages all my inspections, open homes and routines so that my role as a property manage is all about communication now which I love.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to transition into 4 roles within the Coronis PM team over 11 years – the career progression opportunities are real and so are the rewards. Jodi has treated us to several ‘star events’ such as a company paid shopping events at Nine West, Mecca and a perfumery which was nice. I’ve worked at other companies and nothing else compares, it’s the reason I have stayed here for so long.”
