Commonwealth Bank’s former head of NSW and ACT working capital services will be taking on the role of co-director of sales and leadership at the Sydney agency group.

Sarah Street comes into the business, backed by nearly 15 years of experience in the banking and finance industry.

According to Highland Group chief executive David Highland there’s been no better way to launch into 2022 than with the appointment of Ms Street.

“We are overjoyed to welcome Sarah into the Highland fold and are excited to witness the company benefit from the influence of such a well-respected and savvy businesswoman in the years ahead,” he commented.

Highland Group has revealed Ms Street will work alongside other veterans “to facilitate the continued growth and development of the evolving team”, backed by her banking and financing credentials, which saw her undertake more than 80 transactions over the past 12 months alone.

“Sarah is renowned throughout the industry for her client-focused approach and comprehensive business prowess that aligns flawlessly with Highland’s own commitment to the customer focused experience,” Mr Highland continued.

Ms Street has acknowledged that “it was not an easy decision to make the career leap”.

“I have a huge respect for the comprehensive suite of services Highland Group has built across not just real estate, but full-scale financial service offering too – it’s mind blowing,” she said.

She explained that, ultimately, “it was Highland’s maturity and professionality in the marketplace that attracted me most as I knew this would be hugely beneficial to my clients and the way in which I can best service them”.

The new co-director continued: “I’m really excited to be joining a local brand with a proven reputation for customer focused servicing, at a time when the company is entering a new phase in its strategic expansion into key destinations.”

The latest news from the Highland Group comes off the back of a stellar 2021 for the business, having achieved more than $2.1 billion in sales.

It also follows the recent alignment of Bill Malouf and David Malouf with the Highland brand, with the trio forming Highland Malouf Double Bay.
