Thanks to a partnership with two of the region’s key operators, the network is set to benefit from the continued growth of the NSW agricultural hotspot.

Bev and Craig Pellow are joining McGrath Estate Agents, with four offices in tow: Temora, Narrandera, Coolamon and Leeton.

McGrath has revealed it had earmarked the “diverse and productive agricultural region” in NSW’s south west for future growth, with head of franchise Chris Mourd stating “this vast region has a number of thriving towns and villages that offer a wide selection of residential, commercial, industrial, lifestyle and broadacre properties, and lifestyle amenities to service their population.”

A team of 25 will man the four offices, led by Mr and Mrs Pellow, and their two sons, Andrew and Lachlan.

While Craig Pellow has spent 25 years in the stock and station industry, the family established QPL 13 years ago — working across the residential sales, leasing, commercial, stock and station sectors since.

Moving forward, the stock and station operation will remain under the QPL banner, while the residential and rural business will move under the McGrath name.

Mr Pellow said they were “thrilled” to be making the transition, with more than 500 properties on their rent roll in tow.

“As a family-run business, we felt we needed to partner with a strong and respected brand to achieve our desire to grow,” he explained.

“We’ve observed over time that McGrath has partnered with some very strong market leaders in the rural space, and we are both excited and confident that we will benefit greatly from the scale of their network reach, as will our clients.

“We are so proud of what we have achieved as QPL in recent years, but we are excited to show our clients what we can do by partnering with McGrath and having access to their innovation and expertise across multiple channels that we would otherwise be unable to easily access,” he continued.

Regional growth is a “key focus” for McGrath, which Mr Mourd said was evidenced by its growing presence across the Central Tablelands, Hunter Valley, Orange, Bathurst, Molong, Cooma and Albury.

He added that the network’s confidence in regional NSW “has been confirmed by CoreLogic’s data”.

“They report that regional housing markets have mostly shown firmer housing conditions with the combined regionals index rising 0.2 per cent over the month. We have long seen a shift from sea change to tree change as working from home in affordable lifestyle areas have gained appeal.”

He continued: “CoreLogic reports that in today’s market, it is mainly rural areas that are seeing the strongest increases, rather than the commutable coastal and lifestyle markets that were booming through the upswing.”

Looking at The Riverina more closely, Mr Mourd noted that “importantly, the Riverina region has a well-established transport network, including major highways, rail lines and airports, which makes it easy to access major cities such as Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.”

“This connectivity has been vital to the region’s economic growth and makes it attractive for new businesses and industries to relocate to the area. We see that has a real drawcard for the real estate market going forward.”
